The tragic DEATH of Voddie Baucham… Reaction!

Voddie Baucham

Well, I have to ask a question. What is God doing? What do I mean by that? Well, another great one, another of the Lord’s fantastic, very special, powerful Bible teachers, preaching light in darkness, has gone to be with the Lord. Our good friend Vodie Bokeham, we’re sure going to miss him. He was actually lined up to speak at our women’s conference next year.

And we’d even had discussions with him about him and me doing some sort of tour through America. You know, one two punch in regard to biblical authority and apologetics. But God obviously has other plans. Let me tell you a bit about Bod. He was a pioneer in challenging men to stand on Christ in leading their families. He encouraged men ferociously to be the head of their homes and to make sure they were fully responsible for not dropping the ball and being the main influence in the life of their children and leading their wives biblically.

He was even the first to apologize to their children and wife for past mistakes. No other voice had the impact he did to encourage the current generation to home educate their children that they would know Christ and make him known. He called men to lead in family worship daily with their homes. He was a pioneer in bringing young people back into the churches to sit together as a family and witness their dads worship the Lord. He stood boldly and loudly on biblical Genesis understanding that undermining the first book of the Bible undermined the rest of the Bible and biblical authority. He believed it just the way we do at Answers in Genesis.

who was a good friend of the ministry. He loved the ministry of AIG and was always willing to speak here. And last year we hosted him for an evening where it was an evening with Vodiboken and we had over 2,000 registrants. He encouraged a generation to love children and families to be fruitful and multiply. He did all these things while standing against the status quo. He was easily one of the most beloved voices of our generation and we loved him dearly and we’re going to miss him dearly. So Isaiah 68 states, “Who shall I send? Here I am. Send me.” And you know when we look across this nation and realize that so many great seem to have gone to be with the Lord recently.

Dr. to John MacArthur, James Dobson, Charlie Kirk, now Vodie Bogum. Who’s going to replace them? Who’s going to take their place? Don’t we need more of these type of great teachers of the word who shine light into darkness? You would think we would need more from a human perspective. God, what are you doing? I I don’t understand. What are you doing? We need more of these preachers, not less. But maybe God is using this to challenge us.

Who’s going to take their place? Here am I, send me. Here am I, send me. Here am I, send me. Here am I, send me. Imagine if person after person after person started doing that across America and around the world. Here am I, send me. And you really meant it a million%. Maybe we would have preachers of the word all over the place shining light in this dark world. There’s the challenge. Who’s he going to send? Here am I. Send me. Maybe God’s challenging you to do that. Here am I. Send me.
